Kathleen Paylor Bellamy

Kathleen Paylor Bellamy passed from this life on September 10, 2023 in Shreveport, LA.  She was born February 19, 1961 in Shreveport, LA where she grew up.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents John Ward Paylor, Sr. and Grace Logan Paylor of Shreveport, LA; Dr. Henry Daniel Shehee, II and Alice Venonia Williams Shehee of Arcadia, LA; her father John Ward Paylor, Jr. and her infant son William Paylor Bellamy.

She graduated from Southfield School and St. Vincent’s Academy before graduating from Louisiana Tech University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.  She attended Tech Rome one summer during college.  Her first job was in Shreveport with Carter-Williams Advertising Agency.  She moved to Dallas and worked for advertising agencies there and in New York City.  She returned to Dallas and was with Disney Regional Office until it moved to Chicago.  She became Administrative Assistant in an international architectural design firm.  She met and married Richard Anthony Bellamy in Dallas.  Her return to Shreveport is where she raised her children.

Kathleen is survived by her twin children Rose Lloyd Bellamy and fiancé, Killian Hicks of Dallas, TX and John Flynn Bellamy of Shreveport, LA; her mother Nancy Shehee Paylor Cecil and husband Waldo Emerson Cecil; her sister, Nancy Ellen Paylor Alley, husband Raymond Stewart Alley; her nieces Caroline Grace Ourso, husband Joseph Thomas Ourso and their children John Pierre and Charlotte Grace; Sarah Elizabeth Lowder, husband Charles Preston Lowder IV and their children Mary Ellen, Molly Elizabeth, and Charles Preston V.  Raymond’s daughter Emily Alley Clemons, husband Brandon Michael Clemons and their children Madeline Louise and Elliot Recil of Spring, TX. She is also survived by her cousins, Priscilla Payne Cockerell, Cherry Payne Howard and Hank Payne. She loved her twins and her canine fur babies, Shadow and Daisy.

Kathleen will be buried with her father and infant son at Forest Park East Cemetery, St. Vincent, Shreveport, Louisiana.
