Kathleen Johnson Strickland passed away at the age of 66 on January 25, 2025. She was born in Hammond, La to Cleo and Hazel Johnson on October 17, 1958. She was a long-time resident of Minden, La. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her nephew Keith Johnson and elder brothers Carl Johnson, Van Johnson and Vaughn Johnson all of Minden, La. She is survived by husband Mark Strickland of Bossier City, LA, Aunt Martha Stiles of Minden, La, Sisters Brenda Bernard of Sarepta, La., Diane Wilthies of Dubberly, La., younger brothers Edward Johnson of Shreveport, La and Tommy Johnson with wife Lori of Shreveport, La. Her 3 daughters Holly White with fiancé Keith Shockley of Slidell, La., Krystal Ard of Slidell, La. Christina Johnson with husband Rodney of Minden, La. And stepdaughter Mary Alford of Denham Springs, La. and childhood friend Terry Bona of Toledo Bend, LA. 

Kathy has 6 granddaughters: Abbey, Lacey, Emiley, Hannah, Erica and Chloe, 1 grandson Brady and 11 great grandchildren with another on the way. She has many cousins, nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. 

Per her wishes, her ashes will be buried at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Minden, La on February 15, 2025, at 2:00pm. 

Kathy cherished time spent with family and friends and loved sitting around a bonfire. She was a fierce warrior who was loved by so many and will be dearly missed forever.
