SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Kathy Sullivan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Pastor David Radford and Pastor Doyce Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Kathy Janice Franks Sullivan, 65, was born March 11, 1952, in Shreveport, LA. She went to heaven to be with her mother, father, and brother on May 31, 2017, after a strong battle with an infectious disease. Kathy was a retired X-Ray Tech and Medical Assistant in Orthopedic Medicine. She was a member of North DeSoto Church of God in Stonewall, LA. Kathy was the wife of William "Bill" Sullivan, the mother of sons, Christopher Scott Sullivan and Cody Wim Sullivan and wife, Rita; grandmother to Kalli Ruffin, Alli, Taylor, Emily, and Claire Sullivan; sister to William Derrel Franks, Jr. and wife, Sandy Franks; the "best sister-in-law" to Becky Parker and Glenn "Buddy" Sullivan and wife, Betty. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, William Derrel "Brother Billy" Franks, Sr.; mother, Lottie Hood Franks; and brother, Murray Benjamin Franks. Honoring Kathy as pallbearers are Currie Godfrey, David Radford, Jr., Larry Meshell, Jerry Burson, Brian Radford, and Butch Stewart.
