BOSSIER CITY, LA. - Katie Lee Flores Boliew, 81 of Bossier City went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2015. Services to celebrate Katie's life will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Karl Daigle of Christ The King Church. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday April 7th at the funeral home.
Katie was born in Shreveport on June 17, 1933. She will always be remembered for the strong independent and loving woman she was. She loved spending time with friends but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Katie adores her three grandchildren: Cory and TJ Markham, Katie Boliew LeBleu and "soon to arrive" great grandson Owen LeBleu. She retired as a Special Education School bus driver in May 2013 after 30 years.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Moore and Thomas Floyd Flores; spouse, Lester Boliew, son Floyd Michael Boliew; granddaughter, Stacey Renee Boliew and three sisters.
In addition to grandchildren, Katie is survived by her son, Bobby Boliew and partner, Trace Cribbs, her daughter, Sandra Boliew Germany and spouse, Raymond D. Germany, Jr. and her sister, Tommie Bonnet.
Honoring Katie, as pallbearers will be Kenneth Kaffka, Richard James, Donald Kaffka, Freeman McClain, Marshall Williams and Leo Leon.
The family would like to thank caregivers Irene Thomas, Sharon Bowers, Betty Monroe and Vanessa Presley for their compassion and love to mom through this journey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
