Katy C. Woodard

Arcadia -Funeral services will be held for Katy C. Woodard, at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Alabama Cemetery in Arcadia, LA. Br. Don Woodard will officiate the service with Reginald Colvin assisting. Katy was born March 30, 1924, to Guin and Mary Caver, in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. She passed away on September 16, 2019, in Homer, LA. Katy was a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia, Louisiana. She owned "Big A Café" in Arcadia and was a seamstress for "Jewel McGuire's" clothing store. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Katy is preceded in death by her parents Guin and Mary Brazzel Caver, husband RC Woodard, and by son-in-law Marvin R. Johnston. She is survived by her loving children Betty Johnston of Monroe, LA, Don Woodard and wife Connie of Arcadia, LA, Glenn Woodard and wife Dianne of Ruston, LA, and Patricia Dale Woods and husband Bill of Kaufman, TX. She is also survived by her sister Maxine Kilpatrick of Athens, LA, sister-in-law Patsy Caver of Ruston, LA, by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Claiborne Memorial Medical Center, the staff of Leslie Lakes Retirement Center, and Dr. Cliff Salmon for the care of Mrs. Katy.
