SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Kearney Lee Pruett, Sr., 88, will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Jay Foster. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Kearney was born on August 1, 1925 in Pioneer, LA and passed away on June 20, 2014. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA and employed as a Civil Engineer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Forces. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and going with the Gideon's to visit prisons and pass out Bibles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pruett, Sr. and Ollie Pruett; son, John William Pruett. Left to cherish his memory is former wife, Pauline Pruett; son, Kearney L. Pruett, Jr. and wife Diane; daughter-in-law, Becky Pruett; daughters, Rena Beck and husband, Gary, Peggy Pruett, Sandra Hayes, and husband, Dale; grandchildren, Gary D. Beck, Jr., Kasey Noel Pruett, Travis Michael Pruett, Jacob Pruett and Jared Pruett; multiple nieces and nephews; brother, John Pruett, Jr. and wife, Lucille; and sister, Martha Anne Thomas.
