Kenneth Wayne Baker

Doyline, LA Kenneth Wayne (Ken) Baker Memorial services for Kenneth Wayne (Ken) Baker will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Marshall Street Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana, with Mr. Dana Casey officiating. Ken was born October 12, 1946 in Center, Texas, and entered into rest on June 24, 2016, at his home in Doyline, Louisiana. His parents, Willie Mae Fleniken and Jack Douglas Baker predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Mattix Baker, his two daughters, Dr. Sarah Baker of New Orleans and Jennifer Baker Waddell, wife of Dr. Bradford Waddell also of New Orleans, and his three brothers, Jack Baker, wife Kathy and their sons Doug and Tom of Powder Springs, Georgia, William Baker, his wife Sharon and their children, Kelly, Todd and Shannon of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and his twin, Norman Baker and wife Joanne of Humble, Texas. Ken was a devoted father and husband, loved his family, photography, feeding the wild birds and squirrels and other wildlife around their home in rural Doyline. He was an avid reader and history buff. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Wounded Warriors. Ken was a Viet Nam "era" veteran of the Navy.
