Kenneth Benton Kirby, Jr.

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial service for Kenneth Benton Kirby, Jr., 61, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Moore will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Kenneth was born on January 31, 1954 in Shreveport to Kenneth and Georgia Kirby and passed away on January 19, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He worked for Air Systems for over 30 years. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his longtime loving companion of 30 years, Jeanette Weiss; brothers, Charles A. Kirby of Glenmore, LA, Larry G. Kirby and wife, Billie of Shreveport, and Kevin R. Kirby of Shreveport; uncle, Paul Clymore and wife, Flora of Tyler, TX, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Kenneth was a hard-working, loving, giving man. Anytime there was a need he was there to help in any way he could. He loved to cook and enjoyed having crawfish boils. Kenneth touched numerous lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Father Charles for all the time, love and prayers he gave to Kenneth.
