Kenneth Wayne Phillips was born on May 25, 1955 in New Orleans, LA. He lived in Coushatta, LA, a very large part of his life. He passed away on March 14, 2015, in Willis Knighton North in Shreveport, LA after a long illness.
Kenneth married his spouse, Debra Marie Nobles, in 1977 at the age of 23. Not only did he receive a wife on that day, he became an instant father to a baby girl and a toddling boy. He worked 28 years at Almond Brothers saw mill. He always instilled good work ethics to his children.
Kenneth lived his life to the fullest. If he did not insult you when he greeted you then he did not like you!
Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Elizabeth Kirk, the woman whom he always said his strength came; father, Henry Albert Phillips; older brother, Jerry Lee Phillips; and a brother in law, Thomas Johnson.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Debra Marie, of Coushatta; two sons, Shawn Scott Stalson of Coushatta and Thomas G. Beeson, Jr., and spouse, Tammy; one daughter, Effie JoAnn Stalson Phillips and spouse, Beannie Phillips of Coushatta; six brothers, Johnny Phillips and spouse, Barbara, Carl Phillips and spouse, Ethel, Albert Phillips and spouse, Linda, Floyd Phillips and spouse, Lisa, Mike Phillips and spouse, Renee, Clifton Phillips and spouse, Effie; three sisters, Mary Wilson and spouse, Tommy, Carrie Johnson, and Della Fredricks and spouse, Willie.
Kenneth is survived by seven grandchildren, James Kenneth Brent Phillips, Rose Marie Faith Phillips, Jessica Cupp, Rachel, Emily, Molly and Matthew Beeson.
Kenneth was loved and adored by many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
