Kenneth Edward Rice

A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service for Kenneth Edward Rice will be held at Barksdale Baptist Church on Saturday, May 13, 2023. There will be visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am, and a service immediately following.  Pastor Calvin Hubbard will officiate.

Kenneth Edward Rice, 72, of Ringgold, Louisiana left this earth to be with his Savior and Heavenly Father on April 1, 2023.  Kenneth was born on August 22, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Jackie Rice, and his brothers, Melvin Terry and Dennis Ray Rice.  He leaves behind two daughters, Kendra M. Rice of Ringgold, Louisiana and Kristin R. Hoke of Anna, Texas. He was known as Pop-Pop to two grandchildren, Abigail and Noah.

Kenneth attended Woodlawn High School, and Louisiana Tech University where he received a degree in Accounting. He worked for Bell South, KMPG and Bearing Point. Kenneth was a pastor and mentor to young and old alike. He was an active member of Barksdale Baptist Church where he offered his skills as an accountant. He was hard-working, loyal and faithful. He loved fishing and cooking, and spending time with family. He was a loving father, and grandfather.

Kenneth, will forever be in our hearts, loved and missed, until we are blessed to meet again.
