Kenneth James Russell

Kenneth J. Russell of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City with a visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana. Officiating will be Reverend George F. Borghardt III. Kenneth was born on January 12, 1932 to George and Minnie Russell in Downers Grove, Illinois. He graduated from Centenary College with a bachelor's in administration and retired from The State of Louisiana Vocational Rehab as Director. Kenneth enjoyed woodworking, especially cabinetry work. He was a dedicated member of his church, Immanuel Lutheran, since 1975, and was a very active member. Kenneth is preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, JoAnn King Russell. He is survived his wife of 12 years, Linda Russell; two sons, Byron Russell and wife, Theresa, Daniel Russell and wife, Michelle; four grandchildren, Gayson Russell, Seth Russell, Shelby Russell Douglas, Morgan B. Russell, and great-grandchildren Gentry Russell, Bennett Russell and Riley Douglas.
