HOMER, LA: Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Smith were held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, Louisiana with Bro. Ben Booth officiating. Interment followed at Holly Springs Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior service.
Kenneth was born June 30, 1960 in Farmerville, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. and Mary Smith.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Wayne Smith of Athens, sisters, Charlene Killgore and husband Grant of Homer, brothers, Weyland Smith and wife Carol, Randy Smith and wife Donna, and Keith Smith and wife Melissa all of Homer, grandson Eli Jackson Smith, Aunt Shirley and Uncle Clyde Elliott of West Monroe, Aunt Betty Smith of Alexandria, and Aunt Faye Smith Osborne of Marion.
Pallbearers were Daniel Smith, Jason Smith, Jeremy Smith, Zach Killgore, and Brandon Smith.
Honorary pallbearers were John David Smith and Scott Dye.
