Kenneth Ray Wells

Funeral services honoring the life of Kenneth Ray Wells, 69, will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery, 8239 Mt. Gilead Mailbox Rd., Vivian, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Sam Carr.

Kenneth was born on July 3, 1955, in Wiggins, Mississippi to John and Betty Wells and passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Kenneth was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University (NLU), with a master’s degree in marketing. His fraternity was Sigma Gamma, and he was listed in the National Who’s Who 1999-2000. He was the owner of Microgear Computers for 30 years as well as serving as a Shreveport Marshal Special Deputy. His hobbies included playing pool, golf, and hunting. He enjoyed watching westerns on TV particularly those that featured his hero, John Wayne, and he loved his LSU Tigers!

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Wells; Walter and Ruby Harring of Dylan, South Carolina, John Byrd Wells, Vela Wells, and John Walter Wells. Left to cherish Kenneth’s memory is his son, Justin Bradley Wells and wife, Mallory Wells; daughter, Corrie Nicole Wells Dale and husband, Michael Dale; five grandchildren, Owen Nicholas, Reise Dale, Chloe Wells, Cali Wells, and Cora Wells; great-grandchildren, Myles Nicholas and Masen Nicholas; and sister, Wendy Wells.

Honoring Kenneth as pallbearers will be Larry Roche, Tommy Adams, Charles McCormick, James McCormick, David Taylor, and Chad Boyd.

The family would like to express special thanks to Toni Munday for honoring our father by singing "Amazing Grace" at his funeral.
