Kevin Wayne Duck of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away after a long battle with cancer. He went peacefully at home, with family by his side on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Kevin was born in Hodge, Louisiana to Wayne and Bonnie Duck on July 23, 1953. He attended Airline High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Angie Thomas. After graduation they married in 1973 and were blessed with three children, Jonathan, Jennifer, and Amy.

He was very passionate about his career at Moore’s Goodyear where he worked for 40 years as Service Manager of the commercial retread tire center. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and loyalty. He was a mentor to many of his employees who loved and admired him. Most referred to him as a second dad. Although he enjoyed fishing and hunting, his most cherished pastime was tending to his garden. Through the years one garden turned to three, with the help of his friend Randy Wright, where they spent many hours together. Even though his garden was his pride and joy, nothing could compare to the love that he had for his grandchildren.

Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Wayne Duck; son-in-law, Keelan Shane Holder; father-in-law, John Albert Thomas, and mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Thomas. He is survived by parents, Wayne and Bonnie Duck, and his wife of 51 years, Angie Thomas Duck. Also left to cherish his memory are daughters, Jennifer Duck Holder, Amy Nichols and husband, Greg Nichols; grandchildren, Logan Holder, Dreyton Holder, McKenzie Murehead, Nora (Addy) Nichols, Skylar Nichols; sister, Vickie Wade and husband, James; nephews, Jacob and Joel Wade and their spouses; sister-in-law, Martha Barham and husband, Curtis; Melanie, Craig, Melissa and their spouses; beloved dog, Dempsey and grand dogs, Krewe and Bailey.

Honoring Kevin as pallbearers will be Greg Nichols, Dreyton Holder, Logan Holder, Forest Fair, Thomas Drygas, and Doug Beverly. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randy Wright, Henry Cantrell and Ronnie Ramsey.

The family would like to express special thanks to the Bouquet family, the Procell sisters and their spouses. They would also like to thank Oncologist, Dr. Gallagher and staff, who all had a special place in his heart. Last and not least a very special thanks to Passages Hospice
