After a determined and courageous 18 month battle against Cholangiocarcinoma Kimberly Peters Brabham passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2020. Kim was born on December 8, 1960 in Belleville, Kansas and at an early age moved with her family to Shreveport, LA. In addition to Shreveport, LA, during her adventurous and fulfilling life Kim lived in Paris, France; Madrid, Spain; and Quito, Ecuador. Kim was preceded in death by her parents Viva Bain Peters and Charles Edward Peters. She is survived by her husband Russell of Shreveport; daughter Claire of Metairie, La; daughter Helen Roux of Paris, France; Sisters: Karen Nash and husband Gil of Cypress, TX; Kayleen Cointepas and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK; and Kathy Skok and husband Bill of Belleview, WA. The family would like to send sincere appreciation to Dr. Kirton Koticha, Dr. Lauren Scheffy and their staff at Highland Clinic Oncology; Dr. Milind M. Javle and staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center; Dr. Roscoe Chan and staff at Highland Clinic Radiation Oncology; RN Denise Killen and CNA Debbie Purvis from Christus Hospice and Pallative Care; and home health assistant Gwen Frank. Kim was a firm believer in proper social distancing, masking and proper protocols required in response to the Coronavirus epidemic. In accordance with her wishes, and in lieu of current formal services, a celebration of Kim's life will be held as soon as it is deemed appropriate to do so by science. It is Kim's request that memorials, if desired, be made in floral arrangements directed to, and for the enjoyment of, the residents at Holy Angels Residential Facility, 10450 Ellerbe Rd, Shreveport, LA 71106.
