Kimberly Simpson Fricks, age 52, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1971 in Shreveport to Charles Edward Simpson and Sherrie Benfield Simpson.
A celebration of life service honoring the life of Kimberly will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 located in the family life center at Kings Highway Christian Church, 806 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71104. Officiating the service will be Rev. Steve Lesher.
Kimberly earned her degree in education from Northwestern State University. After school, she became a Property Manager with numerous businesses over the course of her life in Commercial Real Estate. She was married 19 years to the love of her life, Christopher John Fricks.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eugene L. Simpson and Dollye R. Simpson; maternal grandparents, Clarence A. “Benny” Benfield and Marie Thompson Benfield; aunt, Linda Benfield Atkins; cousin, Gary Wayne McKaskle; and her beloved service dog, Buddy. Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Christopher John Fricks of Shreveport; sons, John Gavin Fricks of Shreveport, Jordan Matthew Fricks and wife Mayra and their daughter, Leah of Fort Worth, Texas, and Austen Tyler Fricks of Aachen, Germany; daughter, Jessica Lorin Fricks Anderson and husband Nathan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Chuck and Kali Simpson and their daughter, Addison Paige Simpson of Shreveport; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and church family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Kings Highway Christian Church, 806 Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71104, The National Kidney Foundation, https://www.kidney.org/, or a charity of your choice.
