A graveside service for Lannie Eugene Leggett, 74, will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, Louisiana.

Lannie was born on November 23, 1948 to L.B. Leggett, Sr. and Betty Jo Kincaid Leggett in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in Shreveport.

Lannie graduated from Ouachita Parish High School, Class of ’66. He was married on May 28, 1971 to the love of his life, Loretta Leggett. He served in the United States Air Force for 24 years where he was stationed in Oxford, England, San Antonio, Texas, and Barksdale Air Force Base. His passion besides his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild, was his love of hunting and fishing. Lannie was also a die-hard LSU fan.

Lannie is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Leggett, sons, Paul Leggett, and Brian Leggett. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Michelle Cone and husband, Jason; son, Brock Leggett; sister, Brenda Simpson; brother, Pete Leggett; grandchildren, Brittany Moran and husband, Wesley, Aaron Leggett, Gabrielle Smallwood, Danielle Smallwood, Jeremiah Cone, Bethany Cone; great-grandson, Luke Moran; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Lannie will be terribly missed by his family and friends but we will forever love and cherish his memory.
