Converse, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Larry Austin, 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Burial will follow at Converse Cemetery in Converse, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Larry was born May 16, 1942 in Converse, LA to Alton and Eloise Branch Austin and entered into rest on March 13, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Eloise Austin; sisters, Pauline McKee, Audrey Leach, Opal Allen; and brothers, Jessie Ray Austin and Leroy Austin. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Joan Austin of Converse, LA; sons, Alan Austin and fiancé, Stacy Hughes of Hornbeck, LA, Rodney Austin and wife, Cheryl Austin of Converse, LA; daughter, Kari Raborn of Converse, LA; grandchildren, John, Rachal, Justin, Jacob, Christopher, Zac, Madeline, Cody, Erikk, Brittany, Haley, Raelyn, Tyler and Kadie; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Honoring Larry as pallbearers will be John Raborn, Justin Austin, Jacob Austin, Christopher Austin, Zac Austin, and Cody Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Erikk Sluss and Tyler Hanks.
