Larry Paul Cooper, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on July 25, 2024. A talented musician, artist, and lover of music, he started his musical journey at the age of 14 with a set of drums from Santa. He quickly became a legend…in his mind! Larry, his best friend and brother, Michael (Chynx) along with his friend, Joey Womack formed the local heavy blues rock band on New Years Eve in 1979. They quickly became a Shreveport legend.

Larry is survived by his mother, Hattie Frances Cooper; brothers, Michael Ray Cooper and Jesse Wayne Cooper; sister, Elizabeth Willingham; nieces, Aleya Cooper, Georgianna Willingham, and Jayden Cooper; nephews, Derek Cooper, Caleb and Cole Cooper, Bradford and Winston Willingham, and Elliott Vucinovich. He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Ray Cooper (2001); nephew, Alexander Bradford Cooper (2016), and his beloved mutt, Boris (2003) who tragically lost his life in a car accident.

Larry was a loyal friend, brother, and son who enjoyed telling tall tales and making people laugh. The “funny knothead” and “joke telling fool” will be forever loved and missed.
