Larry Eugene Ramsey, Sr.

Funeral services for Larry Eugene Ramsey, Sr., 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Goines officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Larry was born September 13, 1947 in Mansfield, LA and passed away on February 10, 2018 in Shreveport. He graduated from Mansfield High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State University and Master of Education from LSU. He worked for AT&T and Caddo Parish School Board for 15 years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Please refer to Larry's Facebook page for a list of his many accomplishments. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Preston and Mary Edna Ramsey and brother, Amos Huey Ramsey. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Adams Ramsey; sons, Larry Eugene Ramsey, Jr. and Matthew Paul Ramsey (Erin); grandchildren, Jarrett, Wyatt, Alec, Mattie, Camryn Grace, and Cole Preston; brother, Harvey Ramsey (Robbie); and brother-in-law, Mike Adams (Charlotte). The family would like to give a special thanks to David T. Henry, M.D., Nihar K. Patel, M.D., the nurses and staff at WK Cancer Center, and Amedisys Hospice.
