Lavern Matthews Funeral Services celebrating the life of Laverne Matthews will be 2:00 PM on May 23, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Many, LA with Reverend Paul Ferrant officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 22, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Many beginning 3:00 PM for family and friends until 9:00 PM.   Lavern Matthews was born on November 12, 1940 to Ed & Ethel Mae Sepulvado Malmay of Zwolle, LA. She went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 20, 2018 at the age of 77.   She is survived by Sons; Randy Mathews of Noble, LA, Danny Matthews & wife Samatha of Jaquin,TX; Scott Matthews & wife Joannie of Noble,La; her brother; Eddie Malmay of Zwolle ; Sister ; Lois Jean Mortzfeldt & husband Bud of Stonewall, LA ; Grandchildren; Philip Matthews, Crystal Thomas, Chris Matthews. Densil McDonald, DeWayne Ordone, Christopher Ordone, Carolyn Galvan, Tony Ordone, Jeffery Matthews, Jessica Matthews, Hayden Matthews, Sawyer Matthews, Madison Matthews, Mackenie Mathews, Amanda Slayton, Chelsea Matthews, Kaitlyn Matthews. Special Friend Chester Sepulvado Jr. & Family with a host of numerous nieces, nephews & other family relatives.   She is preceded in death by her husband; Philip "Red Bone" Matthews; parents, son; Mark Anthony Matthews; brother ;Thomas Joseph Malmay & Sister Elouise Malmay.
