Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Lee Ellis Gunel, 76, will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Larry Tucker. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. on the grounds of Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the funeral home. Lee was born April 20, 1938 in Marthaville, Louisiana to Charlie and Alice Gunel and passed away February 25, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force and was employed as a draftsman in oil field construction. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alana Raynette Shadowens Gunel; father Charlie Gunel; mother, Alice Moore Gunel; and all of his brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memory is son, Darien W. Gunel, Sr.; daughter, Michele Lee Gunel Broussard; and grandchildren, Darien W. Gunel. Jr., Steven Ellis Gunel, Nicholas Aaron Broussard, and Lori Nichole Broussard. Serving Lee as pallbearers will be Victor Coppen, Thomas Wise, Dylan Graham, Darien Gunel, Jr., Nicholas Broussard, Jason Whittington, Billy Grider, and Steven Gunel.
