Leland J. Campbell

Funeral services for Leland "Jim" Campbell will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Siloam Baptist Church with Brother Wilton Anthony and Mason Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Belmont Cemetery. A visitation for Mr. Campbell will begin at 12:00 PM on May 27, 2020 until 2:00 PM at Siloam Baptist Church. Jim was born in Longview, WA, and the early part of his career in the plywood industry brought him to Sabine Parish, where he met and married the love of his life, Viva Anne Skinner. Together Jim and Viva raised four sons- Jerry, Brad, Jimmy, and Matthew. Eventually Jim and Viva retired on Toledo Bend. He was a president and medallion member of the Many Bass Club for many years. He was a very respected tournament angler and he enjoyed teaching others how to fish while keeping his holes top secret. Jim was recently baptized along with his grandson Mason and became a member of Siloam Baptist Church. He proudly served in the United States Army where he was a Staff Sergeant. Jim was a humbled tanker who protected his country while working in Germany for his four-year tour. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lila Campbell of Washington; his beloved wife, Viva Campbell; his half-brother, Curt Campbell of WA; his stepbrother, Blaine Campbell; and his grandsons, Brandon Campbell and James Levi Campbell. He is survived by his son, Jerry Wayne Campbell of Converse, LA, his son, Bradley Campbell of Belmont, LA, his son, Jimmy Campbell and wife, Julia of Many, LA, his son, Matthew Campbell and wife Teresa Campbell Many, LA; his sister, Barbara Lee Campbell of Eugene, OR, sister, Susie Chambers of Long Beach, WA; brother, Larry Campbell of Idaho; half-brother, Dan Fitzpatrick of Carrolls, WA, half-brother, Robert Fitzpatrick of Longview, WA, stepbrother, Clark Campbell of Holbrook, AZ; granddaughters, Courtney Campbell Anders and Lila Campbell; grandsons, James Ray Campbell and wife, Holly; Dane Lee Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Leland Cole Campbell; Mason Paul Campbell; and Caleb Campbell; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Richard Wyatt, Ricky Wyatt, Rodney Wyatt, Shane Kennedy, Louis Lee, and Jamie Farmer. His honorary pallbearers will be Allen Eaves and Bobby Munlin.
