Leo B Mitchell, Sr.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Leo Bert Mitchell, Sr. will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Brother Logan Brock officiating; interment will immediately follow at Prospect Cemetery in Florien, LA. A visitation for him will be held before the funeral from 10:00AM-2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Church. Leo was born January 31, 1937 in DeRidder, LA to Flerie (Slayton) Mitchell and John Bert Mitchell, Sr. and entered into rest on November 4, 2020 in Many, LA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Bert Mitchell, Sr; his brothers, Robert Mitchell, Gilbert Mitchell, Paul Mitchell, Gus Mitchell and Glen Mitchell. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Darrell Mitchell & wife, Jessie of Florien, LA; his son, Leo B. Mitchell, Jr. of Natchitoches, LA, his brother, Peter Mitchell & wife, Sheba of Vienna, WV; and his nephew, Jabez James Mitchell of Vienna, WV . He also leaves behind five grandsons: Darrell Mitchell, Jr., Tyler Mitchell, Thane Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, and Leo Naquin; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Dan Sandel, Jr, Josh Sandel, Vincent King, Dan Bennett, Casey Blackmon, and Christopher Caskey. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Mitchell, Jr., Tyler Mitchell, Thane Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, and Leo Naquin.
