Leona Mae Carroll

Funeral services for Leona Mae Salter Carroll 94 of Florien, LA will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at Union Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until time of service. Leona was born in Many, LA on December 18, 1920. She entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2014 at Sabine Retirement and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Crockett Salter and Bettie Cook Salter; husband Kermit Sidney Carroll; and grandson David Farmer. She is survived by her son Stevie L. Carroll; daughters Patsy Ellzey, Susan Farmer, and Cynthia Taylor; grandchildren Margie Fitch, Timothy Taylor, Brooke Taylor; great-grandson Thomas Fitch; brothers Sherman Salter, Benny Salter; and a host of family and friends. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Danny Carroll, Darwin Carroll, Gary Carroll, Kelly Salter, Jason Bass, and Daniel Fitch.
