Leona "Lee" Hill

Funeral services celebrating the life of Leona “Lee” Hill, 92, of Converse, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2023, at Lakeside Baptist Church, 580 Recreation Site 4 Rd, Converse, LA. Officiating the service will be Bro. Mike Armstrong. Burial will follow at Converse Cemetery, Converse, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.

Leona was born May 27, 1931, in Coushatta, Louisiana to Allen and Elma Martin Spear and passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Elma Spear; sons, Jerry Waters and Danny Waters; husbands, Jesse Golden Waters and Marvin Hill; sister, Bernice Hester; and brothers, Buck Spear, Wesley Spear, Norris Spear and Ray Spear.

Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Steve Waters and fiancé, Theresa and David Waters and wife Rhonda; daughter, Judy Tisdel and husband Wayne; sister, Nellie Ruth Martin; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; her church family; numerous nieces and nephews; and her close friends, Jerry Tidwell, Marsha and family, Jeff and Pam, Ruth, Tommy and Pam, and Ernie.

Honoring Leona as pallbearers will be Ben Fallon, Jason Waters, Matt Waters, Tommy Waters, Jeff Harrison, and Jeff Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Antee, Johnny Keith, and John Keith.
