Leroy McWhiney Sr.

Leroy McWhiney Sr., 76, of Shreveport, LA passed away March 31, 2018. Mr. McWhiney was born on November 29, 1941 in Shreveport, LA to Carl and Lula McWhiney. He won multiple awards, such as "Salesman of the Year" while working at SR Superstore and Ivan Smith. He is survived by his wife, Gaye McWhiney; his three sons, David McWhiney of Shreveport, Daniel McWhiney and his wife Barbara of Shreveport, Leroy McWhiney Jr. and his wife Paula of Keithville, LA; his two stepchildren, Jimmy Hosey of Gulfport, MS, Christy Heard and her husband Carl of Benton, LA; his four grandchildren, Amber McWhiney, Austin McWhiney and his fiancé Laura Grafton, Ashley McWhiney, and Danielle McWhiney; his two step grandchildren, Todd Heard, Tori James and her husband Brion James; his sisters, Elizabeth Bowler of Jackson, MI and Betty Cooper of Shelbyville, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carolyn McWhiney; twin daughters, Dana Lea and Denise Marie; and siblings, Audrey Stolz, Nannie Bush, Carl McWhiney, and Frank McWhiney. Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. Memorial services will follow immediately at 1:00 PM at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Southside in Shreveport and will be officiated by Clay DeFriend.
