Lidda Estella Pruitt

HAYNESVILLE, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lidda Estella Pruitt, 94, at Evening Light Tabernacle in Homer, LA on Saturday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Pruitt, Rev. Tim Pruitt and Rev. David Pruitt, officiating. Interment followed in Lebanon Cemetery near Homer, LA. The family received friends at the church on Friday which started at 5 p.m. Mrs. Pruitt was born September 3, 1921 in Winona, TX to James E. and Chic Middleton. She entered into rest on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in Homer, LA. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 49 years, James Odell Pruitt, Sr.; a brother, James Middleton; and daughter, Lidda Morgan. She is survived by five sons, Rev. James O. Pruitt, Jr., Dan Pruitt and wife Dennette, Rev. Tim Pruitt and wife Karen, Rev. David Pruitt and wife Gloria and Ted Pruitt and wife Elizabeth all of Haynesville, LA and nephew Rev. Paul Pruitt; sister-in-law, Mozelle Middleton; a son-in-law, James Morgan and wife Kathy; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Timothy Pruitt, Matthew Pruitt, Daniel Pruitt, James Pruitt, John Pruitt, Abraham Pruitt and Teddy Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers were Rev. James Lester "Tex" Pruitt and James Morgan. In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Pruitt, her family suggests memorials be to donor's choice.
