Lillian Elizabeth Foster, 83, of Many, Louisiana, passed into eternal rest on February 1, 2024.

Lillian was born on May 18, 1940, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She lived in Tallulah, Louisiana, for most of her childhood and graduated from Tallulah High School, where she made many lifelong friends. She held advanced degrees from Northwestern and Louisiana Tech. Lillian was a schoolteacher at Castor High School and Shady Grove before retiring. In retirement, she spent many years driving for the Council on Aging. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing games on her iPad, watching her favorite TV shows, eating good food, and absolutely loved perch fishing.
Her passion was truly in service to others, especially her family, which defined who she was. She dedicated every moment of her life to ensuring her family was well cared for: never forgetting a birthday or Christmas; always available to visit, stay, and to be "Mama Liz" or “Beth” for as long as needed. She made sure we all knew who our family was, never forgetting a story, a relative's name, where they lived, or what they were doing. She hardly ever spoke a word without a smile on her face, or a little chuckle at the end of a sentence; she was always excited simply to be who she was. She loved everyone she knew, thought about each of them every day, and wanted to make sure they knew they were loved. Looking after her family is exactly what Mama Liz wanted to do with her life, and it's exactly what she did until her passing. Her life was woven with kindness, humor, and forgiveness, always wanting happiness for everyone she crossed paths with. She left a lasting impression of love and warmth in the hearts of everyone she knew. She will be forever loved and forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Beatrice Foster; her husband, Mack Foster; her sister-in-law, Linda Pardee; her brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Joyce “Joy” Foster; her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Pat Sullivan; and her sister-in-law, Beverly Fuller. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Anita Foster, OC and Patricia Foster, Cheryl Foster, and Ellen and Aaron Woodrum; her brother, Larry Foster; her brother-in-law, James Pardee; her nieces, Suzette Foster, Trina Renee, Camille and Jeff Mize, Candida Turner, Dawn Mhire, Tonya Pardee, and Denise Pardee; nephews, Larry Foster, Jr, Jason Foster, and Danny Morgan; grandnieces and nephews, Amy Caldwell, Blake Caldwell, and Jamie Pardee; and her grandchildren, Brett Foster, Joshua Foster, Mathew Foster, Tiffany Woodrum, and Robert Woodrum.
