SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for a celebration of life for Lillian Patterson, 100, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Minden Cemetery in Minden, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Al Van Dyke.
Mrs. Patterson was born February 21, 1914 in Minden, LA to Joseph and Minnie Ratcliff and passed away after a long and wonderful life on December 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Patterson, grandson, Blake McKay and son-in-law, Ronnie Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia Voorhies and husband Ed of Georgetown, TX, Sharon McKay and husband, Harry of Natchez, LA and Karen Smith of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Todd Voorhies, Shannon Ramirez, Eric Voorhies, Chad McKay and Holly Swannie; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker and sold Avon for years. She was loved by all who knew her and never met a stranger. She was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church in Shreveport, LA.
Honoring Lillian as pallbearers will be Chad McKay, Harry McKay, Mark Ramirez, Klein Swannie, Ed Voorhies, Eric Voorhies and Todd Voorhies.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor Stratmore and Life Path Hospice for all the care and love they not only gave to Lillian but to the family as well.
