HOMER, LA: Graveside services were held for Lillie Moore Miller Corpier, 90, in Arlington Cemetery of Homer, LA on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. R. B. Moore officiating.
Lillie was born June 23, 1926 in Homer, LA to Grover and Appie Stewart Moore. She passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin, KS. Lillie was reared in Homer where she received her education. Her family were members of the First Baptist Church of Homer.On May 10, 1947 Lillie was united in marriage to Eduard George Miller in St. Louis, Mo. They made their home in St. Louis and was blessed with two sons. When Edward passed away, the family moved to Homer, LA.
Lillie married Norman Corpier on April 15, 1978 in Minden, LA where they made their home. She worked as a switchboard operator for may years. Norman passed away in 1992 and Lillie moved to Oberlin, KS later that year to be near her son David and his family.While living in Oberlin, Lillie attended the Oberlin United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the friendships she made in the community and at the Cedar Living Center and Good Samaritan Center where she resided the last several years.
She is survived by her 2 sons; David E. and wife Cindy Miller of Las Vegas, NV and Steve Miller of Dallas, TX; 2 sisters, Hazel Moore of Minden, LA and Louise Smith of Shreveport, LA; 3 grandchildren, Tonya Woolsey and husband Tucker of Oberlin, Justin Miller and wife Amy o Las Vegas, NV and Michele Powell and husband Corey of Dallas, TX; 7 great grandchildren, Sophie Miller, Max Miller, Ella Miller, Trae Woolsey, Taite Woolsey, Trennedy Woolsey and Talulah Woolsey; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Lillie is preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; 2 brothers: 3 sisters; and a stepsister.
