Lina Mearl Beavers

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Lina Mearl Beavers will be 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Steve Caraway, pastor of North Highlands United Methodist Church, where Lina was a member. Assisting with the services will be Bruce Sheline. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Rose-Neath Bossier. Lina was born January 4, 1943 in Shreveport, LA to Theodore Alexander Hutches and Jennie Mearl Hollowell Hutches. She died October 9, 2016 in Blanchard, LA. She was the owner of a day care and retired from Crown Dental as a childcare provider. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Johnny Hutches and Ted Hutches. Lina is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ted Beavers; daughter, Jennie Mearl Sheline and husband, Bruce; sons, John "Danny" Beavers and wife, Carrie, Michael T. Beavers and Steven P. Beavers and wife, Kelly; brothers, Van Hutches and wife, Debbie, Don Hutches and wife Carmen; sister-in-law, Ann Malone; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Lina as pallbearers will be, Clint Hrdlicka, Cory Hrdlicka, Casey Hrdlicka, Steve Tujague, Joel Beavers, Karl Morris, Ron Sheline and Richard Faulkner. Honorary pallbearers will be, Myles Grissett, James Hutches, Tim Hutches and all her many nursery kids.
