Linda Sue Baylis Botelho

Linda Sue Baylis Botelho, 80, of Shreveport, LA, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, after a short illness.

Sue was born on May 29, 1942, to Roy and Christine Baylis of Ringgold, LA. After Sue graduated Ringgold High School in 1960, she went on to attend NSU and receive a BA in Education. She then received her Master’s in Education and her Plus 30 from LaTech.

Sue taught 30 years in the Caddo Parish School System, retiring in 1995. She went on to another career at the Caddo Parish Tax Assessor’s Office and enjoyed a second retirement in 2016.

Sue was a compassionate and loving soul who always helped others and enjoyed life and laughing. She loved Strawn’s pie.

Sue was predeceased by her parents, infant brother, Robert, and sister-in-law Vonceil Baylis. Sue is survived by her sisters Beverly Sanderson of Minden and Robbye Baylis of Minden; brothers Terry (Jeri) Baylis of Minden and Jerry Baylis of Minden; nephew Jason Baylis; niece Susan (Jay) McEachern; several great nephews and nieces; best friend of 50 years Marilyn Williams and special niece Michelle Holcomb; special friends Joe Vincent and Eva Vallier.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, LA.
