Benton, LA - Linda Lewis, age 72 and a resident of Benton, LA, went to be with the Lord Thursday the 26th of July, 2018, after a short battle pancreatic cancer.
Linda was born in 1946 in Tarrant County, Fort Worth, TX. She was a long-time cosmetologist and worked alongside her twin sister, Glinda Rae Avery in Benton, LA. Linda loved Country Music and pasta, as well as homemade ice cream. She had traveled all around the world including New York, New Mexico, scenic Nebraska and Alabama, as well as Florida. Linda was feisty and independent, but very kind-hearted.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Bilbo from Fort Worth, TX, brother-in-law, Wayne Hathaway from Red Oak, TX and her daughter, Ann Holly from Fort Worth, TX.
Linda is survived by her twin sister, Glinda Avery of Benton, LA; sister, Alice Hathaway of Red Oak, TX; brother, Raymond Bilbo of Fort Worth, TX; nephew, Ray Johnson and wife, Tracie of Grandview, TX; nieces, Monica Tracy and husband, Chene of Benton, LA, Cheryl McCalla and husband, Michael of Midlothian, TX; nephews, Wayne Hathaway and wife, Deana of Red Oak, TX, Michael Bergeron and wife, Amy of Flower Mound, TX, Johnny Bergeron of Denton, TX, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday the 4th of August, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Benton, Benton, LA. A graveside service will be held at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX at 2 p.m. on Sunday, the 5th of August, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Linda's name be made to First Baptist Church of Benton.
