Linda Kay Henderson

A funeral service for Linda Kay Henderson will be held on Thursday August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Chapel, 943 Polk St. Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Brian Rankin. Interment will follow at Cassell Cemetery in Converse, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Mansfield, Louisiana

Kay was born on February 20,1944, in Converse, Louisiana to Earl Willard Ward and Helen Mignon Champion and entered into rest on July 29,2024. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bertie Henderson; son, Charles Henderson; parents, Earl and Helen Ward; brother, Robert Ward; and sister, Margaret Bissell.

While raising her family, she went to Nursing School and graduated in 1978. She worked as an LPN for 33 ½ years mostly in long term care and Home Health touching many lives over the years and as well as her life was touched by so many. Kay loved sharing her love for JESUS to others.

Kay had been a member of San Patricio Baptist Church since 1967. She raised her children in church and worked in the church while her children were growing up. Kay dearly loved her family and her many friends. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Henderson and wife Kim of Moody, TX, James Henderson and wife Roxane of Lampasas, TX, John Henderson and wife Rita of Converse. LA; daughters, Angie Sepulvado and husband Matthew of Converse, LA; Denise Henderson of Texas; special daughter Ciara Rivers; and daughter-in-law, Melanie Henderson of Atoka, TN; 15 grandchildren, Misti Blankenship, Danielle Davis, Jason Henderson, Bethany Ingersoll, D.J. Henderson, Justin Henderson, Ryan Henderson, Tabitha Henderson, Bobby Whittington, Aaron Henderson, TJ King, Deidre Procell, Nathan Procell, Kami Rivers; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Morrell E. Ward and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Kay as pallbearers will be Justin Henderson, DJ Henderson, Bobby Whittington, Nathan Procell, Matthew Sepulvado, and TJ King.
