Linda C. Milazzo
Linda Carol Blaine Milazzo, 64, passed away peacefully in her sleep October 12, 2014 at her residence. A remembrance ceremony will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel located at 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Linda was born in Nashville, AR on May 30, 1950 to Roy and Ruby Blaine. She grew up in Mooringsport, LA and attended North Caddo High School. She has managed apartments for nearly 30 years. For the past 17 years she has been the manager of Southwood Gardens Apartments in Shreveport, LA. Southwood Gardens was not only where she worked, but where she lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Blaine; brothers, Otis Blaine, Roy Blaine, Jr., and Bobby Blaine; and sister, Margaret Thorton. Left to cherish her sweet memory is her beloved husband of 45 years, Philip Milazzo; daughters, Melissa Sparkman and husband Sam and Phyllis Walker and husband Kevin, brothers, Don, James, and Jerry Blaine. Grandchildren, Wesley and Katy Sparkman, Joshua, Chandler, and Zachary Tully, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She considered the residents at Southwood Gardens her family and will be greatly missed by each and every one of them, especially her best-friend Exie.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandsons Wesley Sparkman and Joshua Tully; son-in-laws, Sam Sparkman and Kevin Walker; Harry Cogley and Dean Elston.
