In Loving Memory of Linda Sharon Peacock DeLoach
August 29, 1948 - July 5, 2024
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Sharon Peacock DeLoach on July 5, 2024. Linda was born in Mansfield, LA on August 29, 1948, to Rev H.L. Peacock and Bernice Hinds Peacock.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Peacock Lindsey, and brothers, Glenn Peacock, Marlin Peacock, and Bro. William Peacock. Her ex-husband, Bill DeLoach, Sr., also preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill DeLoach, Jr. (Judy), Pete DeLoach-Verette (Jeff), Dr. Debra DeLoach, and her nephew-son, Steven Lindsey.
She was a proud grandmother to Elizabeth, Joshua, and Brandon, and great-grandmother to Jace, Brentley, Wesley, Jaxon, Nevaeh, and Mateo. She is also survived by her brother Ray Peacock.
In the latter years of her life, she bravely faced the challenges of Alzheimer's disease. While Alzheimer's may have taken away parts of her in the end, it could never diminish the love we have for her and the memories we shared.
Her journey on this earth may have ended, but her story continues in each of us. She has left behind a legacy of love, strength, and laughter. Her mantra, "If you can't be bothered to come see me when I'm alive, don't bother when I'm dead!" will forever echo in our hearts.
To honor our mother's wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate her memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit. Her children will have a private service at a later time to carry out the remainder of her wishes.
A very special thank you to Natchitoches Community Care Center, Mary Cadwallader, the Jacobs and the Verette family for the love and support through the years.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your charity of choice. Hug your mama!
To God Be the Glory
