Greenwood, LA - Celebration of Life services for Linda Diane Riffel, 69, will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2015, in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Bro. James "Jim" Gstohi officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, LA.The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Friday, February 6, 2015, from the hours of 6:00 -8:00 PM at Rose-Neath Southside.Linda was born November 10, 1945, in Long Beach, CA, to the late Adel Eugene and Betty Fay Goss Carlson and was called home following a courageous, yet lengthy battle with Breast Cancer, February 4, 2015, in Greenwood, LA. She worked for about ten years as a cosmetologist and enjoyed caring for her family. Linda was a homemaker in the true sense, always enjoying and taking great pride in her arts and crafts, gardening, baking, sewing and devoting all of her time to her family's needs. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school at First Baptist and First Methodist of Greenwood. She will be remembered for her selfless way and giving of herself to care for her family.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband; Garry Riffel, son; Charles Wilson, grandson; Joshua Huffman and sister; Cheryl Wood.Left to cherish the beautiful memories Linda leaves behind will be her son; Brandon Riffel, daughter; Wendy Haynes and husband Richard, four grandchildren; April Huffman, Payton Wilson, Sierra Riffel and Trevor Wilson, sister; Jennifer James and husband Kirk along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.Honoring Linda as pallbearers will be Rick Haynes, Richard Haynes, Kirk James, Brandon Riffel, Ryan Sullivan and Lance Christenson.
