Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Linda Ann Mason Watts, age 79, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, LA, on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Paul Watts, officiating. Interment will be at Cotton Valley Cemetery in Cotton Valley, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service.

Mrs. Linda was born May 6, 1944, in Cotton Valley, LA, to Laxton R. and Kathleen Slack Mason. She entered into rest on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Minden, LA. Mrs. Linda was known on Lake Claiborne as a fish tracker. She was often contracted by Dwight Mitchell from the Ruston Leader for the crappie fishing report. She never missed a ball game for her son or grandsons and was their biggest fan. Mrs. Linda loved family gatherings and making memories. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Mrs. Linda was as resilient and determined as any person could be as she faced adversities. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joel S. Watts, JR.

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Watts and wife Erin of Dubberly, LA, and Joel Keith Watts of Homer, LA; two sisters, Judy Kathleen Mason and Anita D. Mason both of Farmerville, LA; three grandsons, Michael Aaron Watts and fiancé Zoe, Christopher Joel “C.J.” Watts, and Nolan Gabriel Watts; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Linda’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Koticha and his staff, Premier Family Clinic, and Brint Fegley for the care and compassion given to her.

Pallbearers will be Michael Watts, C.J. Watts, Nolan Watts, Kevin Watts, Robert Coleman, and Adam Coleman.

In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Linda, her family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
