Services for Lois Leach Binning, will be held at 10:30 A.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, LA.
Lois Binning, a life-long resident of Mansfield, passed away Monday, June 15 after a lengthy illness. Lois was born Oct. 1, 1926 to Eula and Willie Leach. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene L. Binning, Jr.; her son, Larry W. Binning, brother, Doyle D. Leach, sister, Joyce Aline Carlisle, and great grandsons; Elijah Doc, Jaxon Cree, and Haiz Patrick Durr.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Lawson of Mansfield, daughter-in-law, Lynda Binning Laffitte of Stonewall, her grandchildren; Brad Binning and wife Jenny of Daphne, AL, and Shanna Durr and husband Pat of Shreveport, her great-grandchildren; Larra binning, Levi Durr, and Blocker Durr, and her step grandchildren; Annie Durr, Brooks Flynn, Hunter Flynn, Daniel Nichols and Kaiela Collier.
This mother, grandmother and great-grandmother exhibited amazing love and sacrifice for her family and faith in her Lord. She served Him as a children's Sunday school teacher at South Side Baptist Church for 30+ years. Her love and heart for children carried her into working many years with children at Mansfield Elementary. She was a living example of caring and doing for others rather than herself.
Visitation will be at rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield Wednesday, June 17, 2015 during the hours of 5 - 7:00 p.m.
