Lois Marie Brooks Branton

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Lois Marie Brooks Branton, age 88 will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA with Bro. John Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. There will be a time of visitation Monday, January 4^th from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Branton was born in Robeline, LA on February 22, 1927 to Robert and Sadie Matthews and passed away on January 2, 2016 at Willis-Knighton, Pierremont after a brief illness. She was a grocery store meat wrapper, homemaker and a member of the Carriage Oaks Church of Christ.

Mrs. Branton is survived by her two sons, Wendell Brooks and wife Yvonne and Dennis Brooks and wife, Bonita; daughter, Brenda Burford and husband, Ken. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brenda Campbell, Cynthia Brooks, Wendy Lowe, Jeffory Brooks, Deidre Parker, Brandi Canteberry, Terrine Rogers, Richard Murphy and Crystal Benson; siblings, Mary Santoro, George Matthews and Jo Dean.

Honoring Mrs. Branton as pallbearers will be Justin Brooks, Cody Kilpatrick, Dylan Campbell, Jeffory Brooks, David Branton and Damien Bice.
