Shreveport, LA - Services celebrating the life of Lois Bryan Kirkham, 83, will be held 12 noon Thursday, April 9, 2015 at King's Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Road. Officiating will be Reverend Damon Magee. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Vivian, La. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the church.
Lois was born November 22, 1931 in Plain Dealing, La, to Emmett and Rosie Pittman. She went to be with her Lord April 6, 2015 in Frierson, La. She was a resident of Shreveport and a member of Kings Temple. She retired from Shriner's Hospital. Lois was known for her beautiful smile, laughter, and love of Southern Gospel Music.
She is survived by her son, Luke Bryan and wife Sharon; daughters, Dianne Ellis and husband, Rex, Linda DuBose and husband, Daniel; grandchildren, Daniel Ray DuBose, Jr., Renee' Lawrence, Angela Archibald, Christy Smith, and Suzanne Smith; great-grandchildren, Ashley Lawrence, Caleb Lawrence, Hayleigh Lawrence, Valerie Smith, Kristopher Smith, Ethan Smith, Alton Smith, Madeline DuBose, Jody Lynn Smith, Jennifer Smith, and Jasmine Smith. Lois was preceded in death by her mother, father, and nine siblings and several nieces.
Honoring Lois as pallbearers will be Bubba Johnson, Kimbrough Struggs, Ed Jones, Mike Hattaway, Craig Martin, and Bill Albritton.
