Funeral services honoring the life of Lois Vivian Nugent will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Dan Lay of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service at Langley Cemetery in Beckville, Texas.
Lois Vivian Nugent was born May 30, 1927 in Beckville, Texas to parents, Roy and Dottie Vice and passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Lois was a wonderful wife, mother and the best grandmother anyone could ask for. She loved all of her family with all of her heart. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and spending time with her grandchildren. Lois always kept a close relationship with her sisters and would often talk with them on the phone. She will never be forgotten and will always be cherished and loved.
She is preceded in death by, her loving husband of 59 years, Tillman Jackson Nugent; her parents, sons-in-law, Sonny Adock and James W. Adkison III; sisters, Evelyn Orr, Elsie Killian, Annabelle, Ruth Arnold, Marie Young; and brother, Lee "Shorty" Vice.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathy Adcock and Elaine Adkison; grandchildren, Joshua Adcock and wife, Mandi, Michelle Landreneaux and husband, Jason, and James W. Adkison IV; great-grandchildren, Cody James and fiancé, Kristin Robinson, Jason Tyler Landreneaux and wife, Carley, Jimmie Adkison, Shyanne Adkison, and Keif, Trace and Hadyn Adcock; great-great-grandchildren, Ryder James, and James Thomas and Gabby Claire Landreneaux; sisters, Betty Sipes and husband, Barney and Myrle Bates, and husband, Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
