Funeral services for Lona Elizabeth Lee Hammett will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Weldon Baptist Church in Weldon, Louisiana near Bernice, Louisiana with Rev. William Colvin officiating. Interment will follow at Weldon Cemetery in Weldon under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer. Lona was born August 22, 1927 in Weldon, Louisiana and entered into rest November 12, 2015 in Homer, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by husbands Loy Lee and Jesse Hammett, son Terry Wayne Lee, parents James and Eula Rea, brother Britt Rea, and sister Beatrice Lee. She is survived by her daughters Twyla Moore and husband Robert of Minden; Loyce Hightower of Homer; Katie Clements of Homer; brother James Chesley Rea of Farmerville; sister Melba Farrar-Orr of El Dorado, Arkansas; grandchildren Richard and Geoff Moore, David Welch, Amy Cox, Joel Welch, Crystal LaRue, and Chris Clements, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   Rose-Neath Funeral Home 405 E. 5^th Street Homer, Louisiana 71040 (318) 927-6110
