Lonis Joseph Dauzat

A funeral service for Lonis Joseph Dauzat will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville, Louisiana. Burial will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Melville, Louisiana. 

Lonis Joseph Dauzat, age 85, of Marksville, entered into rest on May 1, 2024, in Gonzales, Louisiana. He was born in Marksville on March 6, 1939, to Allen and Angelica Dauzat. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Nellie Hoyt Dauzat; brother, Hank Dauzat and son-in-law, Mark Archiball. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons: Donald Dauzat (April) of Gonzales, La. and Deckie Dauzat of Marksville, La. Two daughters; Peggy Dauzat Royal (John) of Grossetete, La. and Cindy Dauzat of Erwinville, La. Three brothers; Chris Dauzat, Freddy Dauzat and Tony Dauzat all of Marksville, La. As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville and will last until time of service.
