Lonnie Waits

A graveside service honoring the life of Lonnie Waits will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Hurricane Cemetery. 

Lonnie was born February 24, 1949, in Minden, Louisiana to A.L. and Ruth Adelle Foster Waits. He entered into rest on October 20, 2024, in Ruston, Louisiana. Lonnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, A.L. and Ruth Adelle Waits. He is survived by his daughter Christina Menefee and husband Bryan, sons Josh Waits and Joseph Waits, Sr., grandchildren Joseph Waits, Jr., Justin Menefee, Sierra Tucker, Molly Menefee, Gunnar Menefee, and Olivia Menefee, great grandchildren Lennox Tucker, Finn Tucker, Warren Menefee, and Presley Menefee, sister Ruth Ann Hunt and husband John, and by his nephews.
