Lorena Brister Savage

Stonewall, LA - Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Lorena Brister Savage, 83, will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, with Pastor Dennis Sims officiating at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park West, Shreveport, LA. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, February 25, 2015, from 11:00 AM until time of service at Noon at Rose-Neath. Mrs. Savage was born July 27, 1931, in Liddieville, LA, to the late Francis Ernest and Vincie Alice Cockerham Brister and was called home February 21, 2015, in Shreveport, LA. She retired from AT&T following approximately twenty five years of dedicated service. Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; J. E. Brister, Laverne Brister, M. H. Brister, Pete Brister and one sister; Levon McGuffie. Left to cherish the wonderful memories Mrs. Savage leaves behind will be her beloved husband of 59 years; Benjamin Franklin "Joe" Savage, son; Gary Savage and wife Julie, daughter; Debra Cummings and Chuck Tiepelman, two grandchildren; Anna and Emily Savage, one great-grandson; Oliver Savage, brother; Buck Brister along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Didi Mosley and Tasha Huglon for the continuous care and compassion shared with the family over the past two years.
