HOMER, LA: Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Loretta June Roberson, 76, at the Old Town Cemetery of Haynesville on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Shelby Cowling, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Haynesville, officiating. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5
th St., Homer on Saturday, November 1, from 5-9 p.m.
Mrs. Roberson was born October 31, 1937 in Gloster, MS. She entered into rest Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Homer, LA following a short illness. Mrs. Roberson was the owner and operator of John's City Grill in Haynesville and she also catered special events in the area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haynesville, LA.
Mrs. Roberson is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Roberson, Jr.; her parents, Joel and Annie Lois DeLaney; one brother, Nolan McCurley; and one grandson, Michael Peck.
Mrs. Roberson is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Peck of Llano, TX, Susan Carter of Chester, SC, Lesly Zeitz of Homer, Homer, LA and Bobbie Lee Monk and Danny of Jonesboro, LA; two sons, Robert Clark and Terese of West Palm Beach, FL, and John Roberson of Haynesville, LA; one sister, Ruth Terry of Syracuse, NY, 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
For friends considering memorials honoring Mrs. Roberson, her family suggests St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
