Lottie was born on November 26, 1934, to Euel Law and Lucy Law in Marthaville, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Shreveport.
Lottie grew up in the small town of Marthaville, where she met the love of her life, Wayne. Together they went on to have a daughter, Joleen, who they cherished and adored with all their hearts. Lottie not only had a big heart full of love for people, but also the most giving heart. Her compassion and sincerity were unmeasured. Lottie gave back to her community through service. She worked as a secretary and a teacher for many years. For 42 years she was an administrator for Louisiana Civil Service Testing. During this time, she received the prestigious Charles E. Dunbar, Jr. Service Award. Her patience and devotion to children showed not only in her classroom but within her family as well. Lottie devoted her life to God and serving the church. She loved to sing and play the piano. She had a joy for music not only within the church, but with her daughter, Joleen, singing along to Elvis. She will forever be missed and cherished by her family and friends. The lasting impact she left on everyone will be forever felt throughout the rest of our lives.
Lottie is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hennigan; daughter, Joleen Hennigan; parents, Euel and Lucy Law; and siblings, brother, Euel “Bud” Law, Jr.; and sisters, Beatrice Donahue and Dottie Henry. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Linda Eason; great-niece, Emily Sepulvado (Lucas); nieces, D’Aunn Grant, Rebecca Hurt, Mary Beth Wilhite (Keith), Ann Keohane, and Cynthia Heskett (Gary); great-niece and nephews, Patrick, Dylan, Christian, and Megan; and great-great-nieces and nephew, Joleen, Cheyenne, Sophie, and Beckett.
The family suggests memorials may be made in Lottie’s name, to the First Methodist Church of Shreveport. of which she was a life-long member.
