Louie Brooks Rockett

Funeral services honoring the life of Louie Brooks Rockett, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Perry Culver. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church.

Louie was born on May 5, 1938 in Greenwood, Louisiana. Louie passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Louie had served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. After his service, he worked as a contractor for Boeing, servicing military aircraft on the island of Guam. After returning to Shreveport, Louie worked for a small security firm, Riley Beard and then Western Electric (Lucent), where he retired as an HVAC technician. After his retirement, Louie had a few small business ventures. He then spent the rest of his life taking care of his family. His kindness and dedication to his family, will sorely be missed.

Louie is preceded in death by his wife, Patty; his mother and father, Marjorie and Louie Neal; his aunts, Mildred Boley, Betty V. Steed and Mary Beth Wright and his uncle, Wallace Brooks.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Rockett and Randall Rockett; his step-sons, Phillip Feibel, Shelton Feibel, John Chris Feibel and Doug Feibel; his grandchildren, Madison Rockett, Camren Rockett, Shawn Baham, Shelton Feibel Jr and Seth Feibel; his great grandchildren Jaxson Feibel, Brantley Feibel, Macey McCoy and Lera McCoy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice, plant a tree in Louie's honor or buy a meal for a person in need.
